As a child i was always very happy we went to the zoo.
By train to the central station, and then you got off the train and you were in the zoo.
It remains a difficult story, animals in captivity and all that.
Still, the Zoo has many programs to save endangered species from extinction.
I have visited many zoos all over the world, but the one in Antwerp...that is the most beautiful. And perhaps also the oldest: 175 years.
And located in the middle of the city, an oasis of greenery and tranquility (if there are not too many visitors).
